Mark Wood
Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Affairs
Mr. Wood joined BioMarin in May 2004 and currently serves as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Corporate Affairs, with responsibility for all HR functions as well as corporate communications and facilities strategy. Prior to joining BioMarin, he was the sole proprietor of an HR consulting practice from 2002 to 2004; Vice President of Human Resources & Administration for AG Consulting, a global professional services firm, from 1998 to 2002; the Manager of Compensation and Quantitative Analysis at Genentech from 1993 to 1998; and held a variety of HR positions at Wells Fargo Bank from 1991 to 1993. Mr. Wood holds a master’s degree in industrial relations from Cornell University, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology and management from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is active in public-private partnerships for economic development in the Bay Area, including his current role as Chair of the North Bay Leadership Council and a previous term as Chair of the Marin County Workforce Investment Board.
